Job Description

Your Opportunity:Are you a change leader Do you want to be an integral part of a transformational health care program Training and Learning for Connect Care is a critical component of the successful implementation and adoption of the clinical information system and practice changes. The successful adoption of Connect Care significantly rests on the degree to which clinicians and leaders are supported with a meaningful education program through strong classroom educators. Alberta Health Services is currently looking for a Credentialed Trainer - Connect Care for Support Staff, to provide end user training to staff expected to utilize the identified applications and workflows. This individual must be proficient and a subject matter expert in their current role. As a Credentialed Trainer (CT) you will be responsible for the classroom training for super users, leaders and other users of a specific Connect Care program. Accordingly, you will need to demonstrate accomplished communication skills including public speaking, active listening and related interpersonal dynamics to facilitate effective learning to variety of audiences. Your core duties include preparation of the classroom, facilitation of the curriculum and ongoing evaluation of the training process. The ability to present role-based training content using a variety of software programs, tools and applications will also be essential. The successful candidate will combine their knowledge of basic theories and concepts of adult education and organizational change management to facilitate the adoption and use of Connect Care. As a CT you will also undergo a credentialing process to support and qualify you as a trainer for specific roles within Connect Care. There may be expected travel required for this position that will be reiterated in the selection process.Description:As a Trainer, you will participate in the development, enhancement and delivery of training for staff in accordance with AHS standards and practices. You will design, develop and deliver training materials that align with the training framework for various AHS applications and processes. Throughout the course development cycle, you will follow relevant standards to ensure a consistent approach for all training courses offered. Course delivery methods can include in-person and online facilitation as well as self-study online learning modules (e-learning). Experience facilitating, instructing, or teaching. Working knowledge of organizational/clinical workflows and practice. Demonstrated ability to learn new material and adapt to changes. Experience with health care technology and the ability to master new software programs. Proven leadership and problem-solving abilities. Experience working successfully in both collaborative and independent work settings. Experience promoting change processes in a positive, effective manner. Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office tools including word, SharePoint and Visio. Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods with extended computer use. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated ability to think systematically, improve quality, realize improved outcomes and engage others in same. Demonstrated ability/comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching, teaching and ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Demonstrated experience in planning, communication, facilitation, and coordination of multiple projects/operational work packages. Experience credentialing in Connect Care training tracks.
