Strathcona Resources Ltd. (“Strathcona”) is a Calgary, Alberta based crude oil and gas production and development company focused on maximizing oil and gas recovery from its low decline, high free cash flow oil and gas resource base. Strathcona's operations, infrastructure and land position are focused in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan.Strathcona is presently seeking an experienced full time Training Coordinator.This role will be responsible for providing their subject matter expertise and skills to develop, implement, and maintain a robust training and competency program at Strathcona.Work with stakeholders to map out and develop training and competency requirements for their applicable job families.Create training and competency lists by job family within the training system to schedule and track all required training.Create/remove users from training systems and add the application training profiles as required.Provide training software system instruction and orientation to workers and supervisory staff as required.Create follow up and escalation processes for expired/overdue worker training.Produce reports, dashboards, or other tools to provide ongoing assurance of worker development progress.Work with stakeholders to assist in the development of in-house learning materials.Work with stakeholders to ensure that in-house documents and learning materials are kept up to date and available to workers.Be the primary point of contact to our training software suppliers and work with them to update or maintain those systems.Coordinate an implementation of any new training software programs.Qualifications3 to 5 years related work experienceMinimum Grade 12 education (required) with preference for post-secondary degree or diplomaBasic knowledge of Oil & Gas IndustrySome knowledge of Health and SafetySuperior attention to detailProven time-management and organizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with different management levelsA proven team playerComputer knowledge in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat/Captivate, along with other HSE, learning management, and training softwareAbility to organize work and carry out the duties of the position with independence.Knowledge of industry-related subject matter such as upstream oil and gas, health and safety, environmental, regulatory, pressure, and pipeline equipmentStrathcona offers a competitive compensation package and the opportunity to participate in the growth of a dynamic oil and gas company.We thank all applicants for their interest in Strathcona.
