We are currently recruiting for Turnaround Optimization Specialists to work within the Spartan Valve & Measurement Reliability Solutions Team. The role will be working directly with Customers in Western Canada as a key member of their Turnaround, Maintenance and/or Reliability Team.The opportunity is based on partnering with Key Customers to provide differentiated Valve & Instrumentation expertise to achieve mutual success and Customer preference. The role provides a motivated individual the opportunity to gain unique, real world experience working with Emerson/Spartan technologies while developing an Instrument & Valve Reliability skillset not commonly found in the market.Upon completion of a comprehensive training program, the successful candidate(s) will be assigned to Customer project(s). In support of Customer engagements, assignments may include relocation within Western Canada such as Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, Red Deer and Saskatchewan or long term shift work based out of Calgary/Edmonton and commuting to customer sites.You will be reporting to the Manager – Valve & Measurement Reliability Solutions. With regards to Turnarounds and specific to Valves, working with the customer’s team of professionals the scope of work for this role includes:Drive efficiencies, cost reductions, and long-term improvements in the Customer’s Turnaround Processes (specific to valves)Document and present improvements to the Customer through business case development and stewardship of Quantified Business Results (QBR’s)Support/deliver several Key Scope Items and Responsibilities spread across the Turnaround Planning, Execution, and Close-Out phases including:Build detailed repair scopes and preliminary schedule using Customer equipment strategy as a guideCollect, organize and document key data required for turnaround executionDevelop an outage diagnostics program leveraging smart positioners to track valve health and performance.Perform turnaround scope optimization. Includes identifying replacement versus repair opportunities and reviews of maintenance history, application and obsolescenceWork with the Planning Team to assist with pre-Turnaround scheduling and logistics planning (criticality/priority review, offsite vendor repair logistics, ordering of required goods)Act as Single Point of Contact (logistics and technical) for onsite/offsite vendor repair facilities working directly with the Turnaround and Engineering teams through to turnaround completionReview outage diagnostics results and advise the Customer regarding path forwardRepair documentation collection and quality controUpon completion of the Turnaround, review and report on:Turnaround results including remaining challenges or concerns and lessons learnedRecommendations for future turnaroundsRecommendations for asset strategy adjustmentEfficiencies found through the Optimization Program (QBR’s)Qualifications and Skills:Engineering Degree, Instrumentation Technologist Diploma or Instrumentation Journeyman designation from an accredited institution3+ Years industry experience in an operating process facilityExperience sizing & specifying industrial control & isolation valves is an assetExperience working with Emerson devices and AMS Device Manager/Valvelink software is an assetExperience in a Turnaround, Maintenance or Reliability Specialist role is an assetProven Customer service skillsEffective interpersonal, communication and organizational skillsHighly motivated and innovativeAbility to work in team environmentEntrepreneurial work ethicThis role requires flexibility and the ability to travelClosing: July 20, 2021 @ 11:59PM MSTIND123
