Mount Royal has carved out a distinct niche by offering smaller class sizes, a robust liberal education and unique undergraduate programs. All students enrolled in degree programs at the institution take up to twenty-five percent of their courses from general education. General Education courses at MRU engage four general clusters that are relevant to all students: Cluster One - Numeracy and Scientific Literacy; Cluster Two - Values, Beliefs and Identity; Cluster Three - Communities and Societies; and, Cluster Four - Communications. The Department of General Education has jurisdiction over first year courses in the General Education provision, while a majority of the remaining courses are offered by academic units across the university.About the RoleThe Department of General Education at Mount Royal University invites applications for contract appointments to teach UGST 1001– Effective Learning in the University Context - in the Fall 2022 semester which commences September 8, 2022 and ends on December 22, 2022. For the Fall 2022 semester, the course is scheduled for in-person delivery, on campus. The calendar description for UGST 1001 is below:‘Effective Learning in the Undergraduate Context’ provides students with opportunities to increase their knowledge of effective learning, enhance their use of strategies, and reflect on their learning.
