Job DetailsDescriptionWHO WE AREFounded in 1995, TSW Management Services Inc. is a national insurance MGA and wholesaler specializing in commercial insurance needs.With offices in Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary, TSW Management Services assist brokers with both in-house underwriting authority and as a wholesaler representing a vast array of top-tier Canadian-licensed insurers and Lloyds.TSW is looking for an Underwriting Assistant for its Calgary Office!As a member of our Underwriting division you will be responsible for underwriting and servicing accounts in accordance with established guidelines and business objectives in the achievement of national standards for data quality and service levels.YOUR DAY AS AN UNDERWRITING ASSISTANT

  • Focal point for all data entry; set up of new clients on LEO system and assigning to various Underwriters.
  • Work with various underwriters on setting up quote and assist underwriter in obtaining information required to quote.
  • Work with various underwriters to administer policy changes as required.
  • Back up for Issuing policy documentation on bound new and renewals quotes within the service standard time frame and electronic delivery of documents to the client managers
  • Back up data entry on Lloyds Lineage system.
  • Issue monthly accounting and risk bordereau’s for markets.
  • Manage all accounting discrepancies.
  • Any other duties as required for facility activities.
  • Compiling the monthly production report from lineage
  • Keeping claims up to date on LEO claims.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • 1+ years of commercial underwriting or related experience in casualty and property classes with exposure to umbrella and miscellaneous errors and omissions.
  • Excellent computer skills including strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Knowledge of EPIC, LEO and/or Lloyd’s lineage an advantage.
  • Minimum level I license and actively working towards CAIB & CIP designations.
  • Attention to detail and precision are essential.
  • Flexibility; ability to prioritize multiple ongoing tasks.
  • Ability to work well independently, as part of a team and with others throughout the organization.
  • Customer-focused and service-oriented.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent Organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented.
