Our pursuit of innovation, commitment to safety and demonstrated project execution success have contributed to the significant growth of our diverse project portfolio with a best-in-class client base.Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Vice President, Environmental Solutions will be the leader for the development of our business with the responsibility to lead internal strategy and execution teams in the areas of environmental sciences which includes assessments, project reporting, quantitative and qualitative field data analysis, remediation, reclamation, and broad site closure activities throughout the energy, midstream, governmental, and industrial industries. This role will be accountable for the performance and development of company strategy to execute processes designed to achieve company objectives to enhance operational excellence through active involvement and collaboration of Project Development and Project Operations organizations across the company.Duties/Responsibilities: · Provide overall internal and external leadership and general management of the Environmental Solutions business unit for West.· Ensure teamwork and collaboration across business units to ensure effective development and implementation of Business Transformation activities.· Manage a team of multi-disciplinary environmental professionals across Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan.· Develop and implement future-focused vision/strategy that is aligned with company priorities and goals to generate new business and opportunities for the company.· Foster culture of innovation within West to promote idea generation and marketed externally to enhance business development opportunities.· Direct and develop a governance structure, processes, and strategic plan to balance company short- and long-term Innovation goals.· Identify new and unique customer value propositions, delivered through innovative practices, technologies, and business models.· Drive and implement systems and processes to rapidly identify, test, and validate opportunities.· Maximize profitability and quickly focus team resources on development of differentiated environmental services to add new value for existing customers and to create new customers.· Oversee development and implementation training materials and processes to educate employees on principles, methods, and tools that improve delivery of customer value-driven, outcome-oriented improvements and solutions.· Assess impact of projects to identify opportunities, constraints, and best practices to better facilitate future planning.· Support alignment and integration of initiatives with company and leadership goals and priorities.· Oversee report of environmental KPI data for internal and external audiences.Qualifications, Skills and Experience: · Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills with proven ability to lead and create alignment across business units and teams.· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or Environmental Sciences or other related fields.· 15+ years of environmental industry experience.· Professional designation required (P.Bio, P.Ag, P.Eng or equivalent)· Ability to apply critical business thinking to strategic business planning, operations and financial performance.· Adept at managing through ambiguity and changing environments and demands· Experience in building engaging partnerships with teams and organizational stakeholders through trust, teamwork and direct communication.· Agile with continuous improvement and change mindset.· Strong advocate and champion of innovation, sustainability, concepts, methods, and tools.This is a full-time, permanent position.
