Job Description

The Vice President will work with ownership to:- Develop a market for the physical exchange of commodities through our online trading platform, beginning with product originating in Canada.Market development includes:

• Sales and marketing of the product (Johnston’s Online) to commodity traders who will become clients (users).

• Training new clients (users) to use the trading platform. Resources will be provided (video and literature).

• Gathering and relaying bids & offers from Johnston’s Online users and other market sources to maintain a competitive marketplace for commodity trading.

- Develop new destination markets for commodity trading outside of Canada.

• Working with partnering brokers in destination countries to secure markets for products of Canadian origin.

- Develop new origin markets from which we can trade commodities into these newly opened destination markets.

• Working with suppliers from countries other than Canada to trade into these newly developed markets.

• Working with ownership to understand regulatory hurdles of trading between foreign suppliers and foreign buyers (KYC, Anti-Money Laundering, etc.)

- Build out the trading platform to include new revenue streams such as insurance, logistics, foreign exchange, financing, and any other products we can bolt onto the system as value adds.- Hire staff with expertise to build out the new revenue streams and manage the existing business as needed.- Manage anything else that falls under the purview of Johnston’s Online.The full-time compensation would include:

• Salary commensurate with experience
• 15 days of paid vacation

Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $124,950.00-$209,464.00 per yearBenefits:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• Commodity Export Trading or Brokerage: 5 years (required)
