GBC caters to single and multi-family residential building contractors and developers, as well as, renovation and single permit customers in the Calgary and surrounding area. We are currently searching for a full-time WAREHOUSE LOADER/DRIVER who will consistently demonstrate GBC’s passion for customer service and quality.Position DescriptionThis role is responsible for the preparation and delivery of products onsite and to customer job sites, picking and loading orders quickly and correctly, delivering product to customer job sites in pristine condition, driving large cube vans, putting away stock, servicing walk up traffic, as well as other typical warehouse and driving activities.Key Duties and Responsibilities· Ability to load and deliver products to customer sites in a safe, prompt, and courteous manner· Must be able to lift and move heavy product, equipment and supplies on a daily basis· Required to assist with customer pick-ups and returns· Maintain and secure a clean, organized, and safe warehouse/work environment· Required to have working knowledge of basic carpentry or handyman practices· Remove snow in the winter months to maintain a safe work environment· Must be able to manage time effectively to ensure deliveries are met· Must have a desire to consistently maintain a safe, friendly, and cooperative work environmentQualifications· Must possess a clean driving abstract with a VALID class 5 driver’s license and provide a clear drivers abstract· Required to have a strong attention to detail and an ability to interpret and process data accurately· Must be highly attentive to numbers, details and organization· Must have the ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities while maintaining a professional and positive attitude· Demonstrated success as a strong team player that takes pride in their work and always maintains a professional image· Experience with counter-balance forklift is considered an asset· Knowledge of basic carpentry or handyman practices is considered an asset· Must be have excellent communication skills (Written and Spoken English)· Must successfully complete a security clearanceIdeal Candidate· The successful candidate will be reliable and have the ability to work with minimal supervision· The successful candidate will have good physical and mental fitness in order to perform well in a demanding, fast paced environment· The successful candidate will be motivated to perform other duties and tasks as requiredEducation· Possess a High School education and/or equivalent work experienceWhat we offer: · We offer a friendly family operated business· We offer company paid Health and Dental benefits after 3 months· We offer 2 weeks paid annual vacation and paid annual sick days· We offer Employee appreciation events· We offer easy access to the Sunalta LRT line or free parking on site*Please Note: We would like to thank all candidates for applying, however, only those contacted for further discussion will be contacted.Job Type: Full-timeStarting Salary: $19.00 per hourBenefits:
