For 48 years Renfrew has offered a wide range of programs and services to children from Calgary and surrounding areas.Position SummaryWe are currently accepting applications for a casual term Wellness Coach to support the Wellness Empowerment Program (WEP) Summer programming for 2 days a week (15 hours per week) throughout July and August. The term is Monday July 4th to Monday August 22, 2022Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be required to have a vehicle to drive to various work locations, including within Calgary as well as to more rural locations including Tsuutina Nation and Morley.Must be willing to travel in Calgary and surrounding areas. Some evenings and weekends maybe required. Working as part of a team, this position develops and delivers developmentally appropriate, evidence-based programming that meets the objectives of the Mental Health Capacity Building (MHCB) in Schools Initiative. Delivery of programming involves classroom and small group work in schools and community settings, and focuses on increasing knowledge, building skills and fostering abilities that enable others to better their own mental health and wellness. This role builds and maintains strong relationships with children, youth and families, and act as “go to” mental health subject matter experts for students, staff, parents and community partners. They also assist with evaluation of activities and survey data collection.Minimum Qualifications
