Job Description

Alison Neighbourhood Community Association is looking for volunteers to assist Alison program staff with providing neighbourhood children before school care that includes: helping to prepare a healthy meal for the participants and accompanying the children on their short walk to school. This program runs Monday-Friday with the exception of holidays and PA days. (One day a week minimum)Skills/Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Safety and sanitary knowledge
  • Food Handling would be an asset
  • Reliable and punctual
  • The ability of being cooperative
  • The ability to treat all staff and community members in a respectful, responsible and fair manner
  • The ability to be flexible in assuming any tasks or other responsibilities that are requested
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Wash, cut and prepare meals according to meal schedule
  • Clean and sanitize work area before and after use.
  • Assist with the cleaning of the kitchen and washing of dishes following the program
  • To positively engage with participants the moment they arrive and throughout the duration of the program
  • Support participants with clean up procedures including waste management and recycling
  • Walk program participants to school/to bus stop
