Job Description

Grand River Foods is a leading food solutions company serving customers in the North American grocery and food service industry. We are known for the great care we take with clients and employees alike.Position Summary: The Document Coordinator is responsible for consolidating current documentation from multiple facilities into a standard format.PRIORITY: Create new, harmonized versions of all specification documentation, based on a newly created format.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Candidate will be responsible for consolidating current Specifications from across Grand River Foods facilities into a standard format
  • Identify details / inconsistencies between specifications and processes relaying to project team for resolution
  • Formatting and document control in keeping with the Grand River Foods policy
  • Working closely with project team to resolve issues
  • Report progress against a targeted timeline
  • Support other related team projects, as required
REQUIRED SKILL, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat
  • Highly organized and demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Strong time management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
  • Understanding of process and flow within a system
  • Comfortable with reconciling math calculations in a practical environment (Examples: yields, losses, pickups, weight tolerances)
COMPETENCIES AND ATTRIBUTES:
  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills (written and verbal) to share ideas with project team to resolution.
  • Ability to work within a diverse team
  • Take direction from, and support, senior team members
  • Experience working in a food manufacturing environment is an asset
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Onsite office position located in Cambridge, Ontario with possible travel to the Waterloo facility
  • Computer and related tools will be provided
