Caradoc Townsend Mutual Insurance Company (CTM), established in 1879, is seeking an experiencedChief Financial Officer (CFO) who reports directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer.CTM is a financially strong, growth-oriented, policyholder-owned, property and casualty Mutual insurerwith an annual Gross Written Premium (GWP) of more than $16 million. Our dedicated sales group services a membership-client base stretching fromStrathroy to Niagara, with two offices, one in Mount Brydges and the other in Waterford.The successful applicant will be part of the Leadership Team overseeing company operations. They willtake a leadership role on long-term business and financial planning while building strong relationshipswith business leaders and process owners.Candidates will have a significant background in financial analysis and management practices andrelated technological systems. They will be responsible for the overall management and the day-to-dayoperations of the finance and accounting department, including preparation of monthly, quarterly, andannual financial statements, cash management, investments, payroll and benefits, reinsurancetransactions and regulatory reporting. They will manage the processes for financial forecasting andbudgets and oversee the preparation of all financial reporting. A significant early project will beoverseeing CTM’s transition to the IFRS-17 accounting standard.They will possess exemplary leadership, communication, and organizational skills. As an enthusiasticand forward thinker, they will challenge the status quo and develop a team atmosphere that strives forcontinuous improvement and a positive working environment of inclusion, affirmation, and mutualrespect. The successful candidate will also provide governance assistance in our grassrootsmembership organization, with responsibility for overseeing some compliance requirements andassisting committees of the Board of Directors.Applicants should have a minimum of 10 years of functional and technical experience and have anaccounting designation and/or university degree with relevant discipline and management experience.It would be an asset to have insurance accounting-related experience and/or Chartered InsuranceProfessional (CIP) designation.This is a hybrid position with the opportunity to work both remotely and from the office.COVID-19 considerations: Clients and staff are screened daily upon entry.
