To learn more about CMH, please visit our website at www.cmh.org.Salary$22.795 - $23.328Schedule7am to 3pm - dailyShiftMonday to FridayPosition Summary:The Distribution Aide is responsible for, but not limited to, receiving product and equipment, inventory control, cycle counting, issuing and reconciling inventories, stocking of carts, stock rotation as required within departments, communicating timely and effectively any supply issues to key stakeholders and movement of goods throughout the Hospital. The physical requirements of job are extensive and include constant walking of halls/corridors, stairs, ramps, uneven surfaces, tight spaces, reaching, squatting, kneeling and pushing lifting of moderate to heavy weights. Exceptional dexterity is required. This position will work varying scheduled daytime hours as required. This position contributes to ensuring there is a safe and positive environment for patients, staff and visitors.Posted hours do not constitute a guarantee that shifts will not be subject to change. Skills and Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of secondary school required
  • Excellent math skills and experience working with numbers required
  • Must have excellent communication skills; including verbal and written
  • Minimum five years’ related experience with knowledge of medical/surgical supplies, inventory systems, hospital geography and proven customer service orientation.
  • Recent experience in distribution of supplies, required
  • Previous materials management and inventory control experience required
  • Previous hospital experience with Meditech Materials Management modules and Handheld devices preferred
  • Experience operating power pallet truck, preferred
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills partnered with attention to detail and the ability to work effectively and meet deadlines with little supervision.
  • Keyboarding and data entry skills essential
  • Must be able to work as a team player and willing to upgrade skills as job needs dictate
  • Demonstrated ability of excellent attendance on a regular basis and work record is essential
  • Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs. repetitively
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:Performs the following duties in accordance with department policies, procedures and operations:
  • Responsible for maintaining adequate stock on all units and departments
  • Surveys inventory items for all areas of the facility and distributes the supplies appropriately
  • Acts as a liaison person between Distribution and the user areas
  • Replenishes stock as required
  • Responds to end-user requests in a professional manner
  • Responsible for handheld operations such as uploads, downloads and battery maintenance
  • Responsible for order verifications and initiates order variance processes
  • Responsible for all shipping and receiving functions
  • All other duties as assigned
