Job Description

With 101 entities in 51 countries, we have a proven ability to meet the greatest heavy lift and transport challenges around the globe.Sarens Canada is currently recruiting for a Shop Labourer based out of our Cambridge, Ontario office. This is a full time permanent position reporting to the Fleet Manager and Lead Mechanic.RESPONSIBILITES AND EXPECTATIONS:

  • Delivery and pick up of parts from various locations around Cambridge and GTA.
  • Daily responsibilities for shop and office sweeping, vacuuming and cleaning of equipment and garbage/recycling removal.
  • Responsible for the washing of Sarens equipment / components associated with fleet maintenance.
  • Assist with parts and component packaging and labelling for inventory purposes.
  • General assistance in other areas of the shop as required.
  • Shuttle Sarens employees to areas in southern Ontario as directed and when required.
  • Drive outside of the GTA for operational purposes when required.
  • Asist in yard for the purpose of loading and unloading crane components.
  • Shovel, salt and maintain walkways and entrances.
  • Other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS OVERVIEW:
  • Must have a valid provincial drivers license
  • Must have the ability to understand/follow basic instructions.
  • Must demonstrate basic reading, writing, mathematical and technical skills, normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Manual/Physical dexterity and the ability to perform repetitive tasks is required.
  • The ability to complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Must have ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis.
  • Must be able to work outdoors and exposed to the elements when required.
  • Must be well organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • The ability to adhere to set hours and to the predetermined weekly schedule 7am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. OT as required for operational purposes.
