We work closely with clients to support the prevention of workplace injuries and illnesses through creative health and safety solutions.Health and Safety Consultant / Trainer Job Duties: - Provide best-in-class health and safety training in-person and via digital platforms to clients across a variety of sectors including retail, manufacturing, healthcare, education, construction, etc. Training will include CPO Approved Joint Health and Safety Committee Training, CPO Approved Working at Heights, Lift Truck, Overhead Crane, Mobile Elevated Work Platform, Fall Protection, WHMIS, TDG, Confined Space Entry and Attendant Training, Confined Space Entry and Non-Entry Rescue Training, Electrical Safety Awareness and Arc Flash, as well as training for Highschool Students (Customer Service, Conflict Resolution, Safe Use of Personal Protective Equipment training).- Deliver health and safety consulting services including, but not limited to, the development of health and safety management systems, confined space assessments and rescue plans, fall protection plans, risk assessments, ergonomic assessments, and custom safety solutions.- Perform quantitative respirator fit testing on a variety of respiratory protection. Fit testing will be performed in healthcare settings across Ontario including hospitals, long-term care facilities, as well as other sectors.- Develop and revise health and safety training courses in line with legislative requirements and leading standards.- Participate in health and safety networking forums as required.- Maintain a working and up-to-date knowledge of health and safety legislation, standards, and leading health and safety practices.- Perform other duties as assigned.Applicant Qualifications: - Minimum 3 years of diverse experience providing health and safety training and consulting to a variety of industries.- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and leading practices.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Exception customer service and interpersonal skills.- Ability to regularly present to large groups of workers in a professional manner, engaging audiences using adult learning principles.- Able to effectively manage time and projects.- Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and mobile elevated platforms. (Preferred).- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Google Applications, Adobe and Zoom.- Periodic evening and weekend work as required.- Valid G Licence and access to a personal vehicle.
