We offer developmental opportunities, excellent compensation and benefit programs, discounted gym memberships, work/life balance programs, employee recognition, social events and spirit days.The company has an opening at its sterile injectable manufacturing facility in Cambridge, Ontario for a Human Resources Assistant.Job SummaryThe Human Resources (HR) Assistant is accountable to the Human Resources Manager and acts as the primary point of contact for all administrative HR support, while acting as the primary liaison between external visitors and internal contacts. This position provides various HR and some receptionist duties throughout the day, while simultaneously completing administrative tasks, maintaining our HRIS system and special projects to support Septodont’s Human Resources department. This multi-faceted role will require an open-minded individual who is organized, good at prioritizing work, dedicated and sensitive to confidential information.ResponsibilitiesPRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: HR Administrative Support

  • Send out company communications and update the various communication sites.
  • Organize and lead Spirit Days and assist with corporate social events.
  • Maintain and update employee changes in all HR systems and organizational charts (SPIRIT, Septodont Corporate University)
  • Launch corporate programs via our HR systems- Performance Appraisals, Goal Setting, IDP’s, etc.
  • Primary contact and coordinator for all HR driven annual programs- Safety Shoes, Medicals, Safety Glasses, etc.
  • Partner with various vendors that support our internal programs
  • Recruitment – administer pre-screens, reference checks as creates announcements (as required)
  • Assists with updating policy changes in Ennov.
  • Assist with the short term disability program, by reviewing the process with employees, completing the sponsor form, staying in contact with our benefits provider on details regarding the employee returning to work.
  • Other administrative duties as required (filing, creating letters of reference and confirmation of employment letters, employee change forms, creation of recognition slides, new hire welcome slides, etc.)
Reception Support
  • As the first point of contact, manage and direct all incoming phone calls and visitors in a professional and customer centric manner.
  • Complete courier paperwork and arrange for shipping, retrieve and forward all incoming faxes and affix postage to outgoing mail.
  • Order flowers in cases of bereavement.
  • Confirm meeting room bookings in Outlook calendars.
  • Order and maintaining office supplies
QualificationsEducation
  • University degree or community college diploma in office administration or Human Resources.
Experience
  • 4 years’ experience in office administration. HR certification an asset.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks according to importance.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and competing demands.
  • High degree of confidentiality and professionalism with sound judgement.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels within the organization, specifically in demonstrating tact and diplomacy.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Power Point) and strong computer skills.
  • Solid verbal and written communications skills.
  • Speed in execution and effectiveness with the ability to streamline processes.
