Job Description

Roadtrek Inc, is a Manufacturer of Class B (Campervan) motorhomes headquartered in Cambridge, Ontario. Do you want to work in a fast paced, exciting and growing industry Do you have a passion for the RV business, its people and its products If you answered yes, to these questions, we would love to hear from you.Roadtrek Inc. is currently recruiting for a fulltime permanent Machine Shop Operator to join our team on the day shift from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm Monday through Friday.   • Machine parts to specifications, verify dimensions of parts and tools using precision measuring instruments to calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments such as micrometers, Vernier calipers and height gauges
  • Set-up, operate and maintain various machine shop equipment such as lathes, milling machines, drill press, saws and brake press
  • Read, understand and produce components from Engineering drawings
  • Work effectively with other members of the department/plant to achieve production goals
  • Keep machines and surrounding area clean while maintaining a safe work environment
  • Work safely in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Perform other job-related duties as directed by Supervisor
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Secondary School Diploma or GED is an asset. Trade school training or college education is a bonus
  • Previous experience operating CNC machinery as well as precision measurement tools an asset
  • Proficient with Math skills: addition, subtraction, division, fraction
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a machine shop environment in a similar role would be ideal
  • Mechanical aptitude and excellent manual dexterity
  • Detail oriented, quick learner, dedicated, and punctual
