Job Description

Our Environmental Management System is ISO 14001 registered, and we are committed to being a responsible corporate citizen.SummaryThe General Labourer will be responsible for the moulding, cutting, laminating and assembling of production parts ensuring the product meets quality requirements and according to production timelines. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.Duties Include

  • Making charges using a crane to load and unload materials to the charge table.
  • Mould parts using a press, loading raw material and unloading the moulded part
  • Hand spray shells for lamination.
  • Laminate cloth to sprayed shells, both by hand and by using the Lamination press.
  • Edge wrap parts, turning cloth over edge, cut and glue into place.
  • Assemble brackets, lights and speakers to laminated shells using rivets, glue and screws and grommets using drill or screwdriver.
  • Cut Velcro and cloth with scissors as required.
  • Operate Water Jet as required.
  • Lifting parts that are awkward but weigh no more than 20 lbs. Ask for assistance lifting when required.
  • Using scissors, trimming carpet on the edges of parts
  • Using a hot glue gun, gluing accessories to parts.
  • Pack finished parts in box for shipment
  • Paint the edges of parts using a small paint roller
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Follow all Blachford AM Ltd. policies and procedures including safety policies, rules and regulations.
  • Any other tasks that may be required
Education, Skills and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to lift parts up to 20 pounds.
  • High attention to detail in all areas of work.
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
  • Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Must be reliable and attend work regularly.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
