We have hundreds of plants and thousands of employees working across the United States and Canada. We are also part of Heidelberg Cement Group, one of the world’s largest building materials companies.The Operations Supervisor role is based in Cambridge, ON and reports directly to the Area Operations Manager.What you’ll get to do

  • Ensure safety standards and policies are adhere to.
  • Oversee and support Plant Supervisors in their day-to-day activities.
  • Manage drum chipping process.
  • Manage inventory control on fuel.
  • Assist in coordinating big pours and small repairs.
  • Assist with onsite issues and act as a resource for both drivers, sales reps and Plant Supervisors.
  • Manage the recruitment process for union employees.
  • Schedule extra product needed for plant production.
  • AFE preparation.
  • Work with QC to optimize usage of recycle water for plant production
  • Manage rubble haulage process for all sites.
  • Undertake any other relevant tasks.
Essential Experience and Skills
  • 3 or more years of experience in ready-mix concrete management or equivalent;
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain a culture of safety;
  • Strong understanding of operations;
  • Effective interpersonal and leadership skills;
  • A team player with a positive attitude.
