The Esmé Original Jacket is a Nova Scotia clothing company with the studio located in Canning. The garments are produced in small quantities by professional seamstresses right here in the province and all Esmé designs focus on three things: form and fit, quality finish and comfortable wear-ability. Only three to five garments are produced from each fabric, and sometimes only one . . . making the garment truly “original”.JOB DESCRIPTION I am looking for a fashion enthusiast who is excited and knowledgeable about social media, marketing and is ready to work for a unique and independent company expanding into online shopping. As the Digital Marketing Assistant you will be responsible for assisting me with planning and executing ongoing social media and email marketing. You will also be responsible for maintaining the website and online shop. My ideal assistant will be enthusiastic, reliable, creative, take initiative and be an independent worker. The work environment is casual with a mix of time in the studio and working from home.WHAT YOU’LL DO: Oversee the online presence including social media, email marketing, website content, and online store platforms. Work with me to create a monthly content calendar for both social media and email marketing. Create and schedule weekly social media content to increase visibility, build engagement and direct people to the website. Write and schedule emails to Esme’s email community. Photograph the new pieces that arrive at the studio and update the website. Maintain the website with up-to-date inventory and information. Create with me, various print materials and digital materials, such as ads, brochures, postcards etc. Develop strategies and marketing campaigns to increase visibility, website traffic and sales both in studio and online. Measure and report on the performance of a marketing campaign. Monitor the company’s brand on social mediaQUALIFICATIONS: - Experience with social media, website editing/design, content creation, marketing- Post-secondary degree/diploma/current studies in business, marketing, fashion sales or similar, will be an asset- Experience with various social media platforms (Facebook/Instagram), website and marketing platforms- Strong written communication and creative writing skills; organized and able to work independently- Graphic design experience (Canva, Wix) an asset.
