Job Description

ROLE:The position involves cleaning and setting up the houses for vacationing guests, with a keen attention to detail and general meticulousness in setting up the home. This is more than a cleaning position where your communication skills need to be top notch, and at times interact professionally with guests.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • thorough cleaning, laundry, and setting up of the property for guests, including hot tub/sauna, etc. (training provided)
  • if/when laundry is not available on site, the role will also involve laundry mat visits
  • the right person will be able to navigate all digital communication seamlessly, such as sending and coordinating communication with the property owner through photos, videos and shared Google Drive files, as well as norms such as e-transfers and timely text responses
  • a flexibility to resolve issues that arise, and help coordinate urgent issues on site, that may arise
  • report any issues that need attending to, and be willing to help resolve (such as unexpectedly restocking a missing consumable item)
  • the ideal candidate is savvy with home maintenance and attention to detail, and is able to remedy situations when they come across them. They would describe themselves as a go-getter
  • the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve effectively
Lastly, a personable and collaborative approach is required for this position.HOURS
  • some bookings are seasonal (May to November); while others carry into the colder months (winter weather would influence this)
  • Typically 3.5-4 hr cleans, between booked guests. There is no wiggle room for cleaning windows of time during the summer season. Off season could be more flexible.
