There is opportunity to engage in research and/or teaching positions with Dalhousie University, if that is of interest. The local community hospital, Eastern Memorial Hospital, serves the population in the eastern portion of Guysborough County. The nearest regional hospital, St. Martha's Regional Hospital, is approximately 130 kilometres from Canso. The compensation model for the position is an alternate payment plan (APP).
