Job Description

Controller (on-site) - $85k to $100k per year - Kinngait, Nunavut (Relocation Incentive)Are you an Accounting professional looking for your next great career move Do you dream of adventure and exploring the beautiful Northern landscapes that Canada has to offer Manpower has an immediate opening for a full-time Controller for our client located in Kinngait, Nunavut.Whats in it for you

What are the job responsibilities
  • Responsible for daily activities of the accounting team including: accounting, reporting, internal controls, budgeting and operational analysis.
  • Ensures that information is available in a prompt manner to provide recommendations to division managers and Board of Directors.
  • Regular interaction and communications with stakeholders and local community members.
  • Reporting to General Manager, liaise with Division Managers and regional staff on regular basis.
  • Manges accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll.
  • Account reconciliation and analysis, preparation of financial statements, cash flow forecasting and analysis, and more related activities.
  • Other related ad hoc duties as required.
What do you bring to the role
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
  • Professional Accounting designation
  • 5+ years full cycle accounting experience required.
  • 3 years managerial experience is preferred.
  • Accounting skills and experience including: inventory control and management, financial statement preparation, cash flow and forecasting is preferred.
  • Excellent management and teambuilding skills required.
  • Strong attention to detail and a goal-oriented mentality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent people skills and great desire to produce quality work.
  • Willing to live and work in a remote multicultural arctic community.
