Location: ManitobaJob Type: Full TimeProfessional Areas: Administration & Support ServicesDescription: Job SummaryThe Security Officer Role is to protect overall Casino assets including patrons, guests and employees by observing all activity, deterring potential problem situations and reporting out of the ordinary activity while maintaining confidentiality. Security Officers oversee and assist and implement all emergency response plans ensuring all situations are handled in the best way so no one is hurt and everyone is out of harms-way. Additional responsibilities include:Essential Duties and Responsibilities· Promotes positive customer service in and around Casino· Responsible for security functions at assigned station/posts· Maintains constant vigilance to ensure the safety of patrons, employees and Casino assets· Checks identification in accordance to provincial law· Actively communicates with team members via telephone, radio or in person to identify and supply information about any suspicions· Escorts or transfer monies, chips, and documentation within the Casino· Conducts First Aid or CPR in emergency situations· Assists with disturbances or intoxication patrons or guests as needed· Writes up reports in accordance to policies and procedures· Documents WCB in partnership with Human Resources department· Practices Health and Safety guidelines· Ensures and promotes confidentiality at all timesQualifications and RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily while seeing the big picture and or other occurrences within casino. Security Officers need to possess skills such as flexibility and adaptability to meet the ever changing needs of the resort while maintaining a high level of dependability. Secondary education as Security Guard with one to two years’ experience in security or law enforcement accompanied with First Aid, CPR, and AED training is needed. Shift work is required within our 24/7 operation.Physical RequirementsPhysically you need to be able to bend, lift up to 50 lbs., move and operate equipment at various heights and use a radio on a day to day basis.Must have or be willing to obtain a valid Manitoba Security License issued by Manitoba Justice.The incumbent must obtain and maintain approval from the Liquor and Gaming Authority of Manitoba (LGA).Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $27,000.00-$29,000.00 per yearBenefits:
