Venor is proud to partner with Breathe BioMedical (BBM) on their search for a Director of Operations. Based in Moncton, New Brunswick, BBM’s mission is to revolutionize early-disease detection with a breath-based platform technology. Their expertise lies in breath analytics, which involves the collection, processing and analysis of breath samples to identify biomarker patterns associated with diseases, specifically breast cancer. As Director of Operations, you’ll be responsible for leading BBM’s manufacturing and operations team and processes for the safe, efficient and cost-effective production, operation and maintenance of the company’s products. What You’ll Be Doing Head manufacturing, refurbishment, and support efforts of Breath Samplers to support research and development Oversee Spectrometer operation, maintenance and assembly Manage clinical sample kit preparation and analysisDrive logistics, including supply chain and vendor management, for the manufacturing and processing of BBM products (i.e., Breath Sampler and Spectrometer) Oversee and maintain the production facility; including planning, management (both team and production operations), and efficiency What We’re Looking For Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing/operations and/or engineering/operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in a regulated industry Formal education in Engineering or Technology, with a preference for Biomedical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering Proven success in managing and implementing manufacturing processes and applying lean principles to improve operational efficiency Hands-on problem solver who can assess and implement technical decisions with a practical approach Demonstrated ability to work in and scale operations and effectively manage resources to meet increased demand Background and experience in facilities operation and maintenance.
