NOTE: Applicants must attach a resume to their application.BARGAINING UNIT: CUPEZONE: Zone 1 - BeauséjourFACILITY: Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital CentreDEPARTMENT: PharmacyCLASSIFICATION: Pharmacy Technician (1060)STATUS: Permanent part-timeFTE: 0.5ANTICIPATED START DATE: As soon as possibleHOURS OF WORK:8-hour shifts - RotationWork schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.JOB SUMMARY:Acquiring, preparing and distributing medications and pharmaceutical products. Responsible for checking the accuracy of medication preparation by others and interacting with patients to gather medication-related information and provide instructions.REQUIREMENTS:

  • Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists and licensed to practice in New Brunswick;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network’s management philosophy, and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
Written and spoken competence in French and spoken competence in English are required.NOTES:
  1. Candidates who are registered with the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists as a Pharmacy Technician Student (in order to obtain registration as a Pharmacy Technician as per the College’s set deadlines) are invited to apply for this position.
  2. The successful candidate may be required to work in other facilities within the zone.
