***You must be available for an in-office interview if contacted***This position is for our General Labour Department.This position is the start of the process for some of our parts and therefore requires someone who has the ability to learn quickly who can work in a fast paced environment and enjoys being busy and has great attendance.Position Description:

• Participate in part deburring (including grinding) and packaging operations, as well asas well as unloading pallets for the laser.
• Successful candidates will operate cut-off and bandsaws.
• Sorting parts, capable of working in the toolroom, has the ability to use various hand tools and jib crane is an asset but not required.
• Assemblyamp; housekeeping tasks as required.
• There will also be other manufacturing duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Ability to read basic blueprints; know how to use the following: vernier calipers, tape measure and a measuring square would be an asset but not essential.
• Must have high attention to detail, immediate deadlines and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• You need to have good attendance and a desire to learn.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment or individually.
• Good physical capability and aquot;can do quot; attitude is a definite assets.
• Must be able to show proof of Grade 12 diploma if requested.
• Excellent, daily attendance is a requirement

Work Conditions: This is a physical position that requires:

• Continuous standing for extended periods of time.
• Some heavy lifting, carrying and handling of objects.
• Regular use of hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, bending/stretching, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, walking, pushing/pulling.
• Repetitive motion and other job-specific requirements.
• Precise hand/finger movements.
• Physical Environment: Regular exposure to factors such as temperature fluctuations, moving machinery, loud noise, and dusty environments.
• Sensory Attention: Need to give close attention to hearing or seeing to work surroundings. Must be able to handle exposure to different smells that may occur in the workplace.
• Must be able to wear prescribed PPE that the company requires safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots/shoes and respiratory protection (depending upon job) etc.
• Safety Sensitive Position: This position is a safety-sensitive position and if it is not performed in a safe manner, can cause direct and significant damage to property, and/or injury to the employee and others around them.

Requirements:

• All new employees are required to provide an original Police Record Check.
• Proof of a Secondary School Diploma.
• You are legally eligible to work in Canada.
• You are able to perform the physical requirements of the job, which may include bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, standing, walking, repetitive motion and other job-specific requirements.
• You have an interest in manufacturing, general labour, and factory/entry-level roles
• A valid driver’s license or guaranteed transportation is essential, as this position is located in Cathcart, Ontario and is not on a bus route.We are located 10 minutes west of Burford and 10 minutes east of Woodstock.
• Must be available to do an in-person interview if invited.

Shifts:

• Day shift: 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday (10 hour shifts)
• Overtime: is any hours worked over 44 regular hours per week.
