Job Description

Canadian Health Labs (CHL) is a mobile healthcare provider under contract to provide rapid COVID-19 testing, vaccination and contact tracing services for various public and private sector locations throughout Canada.We are currently recruiting COVID-19 support (administrative and supervisory) staff to work at our Chatham location to fulfill these contracts.Start Date Dec 29Finish Date Jan 14 with a possibility of extensionRemuneration is based on qualifications held and ranges from $18.00/hour and up.Responsibilities

  • Collection of nasal/oral specimens for the purpose of testing for COVID-19
  • Follow infection prevention & control policies, specifically related to donning and doffing PPE as well as handling specimens
  • Ensuring accurate documentation including patient requisitions and specimen labels
  • Interacting with other contractors and managers is a professional and friendly manner.
  • Provide symptom checks and care for patients if adverse events arise
  • Ensure all Personal Health Information (PHI) is handled according to local/provincial guidelines and requirements
Qualifications
  • Experience in a customer service environment, specifically dealing with members of the public (1-year)
  • Experience in operations/logistics/event management (1-year)
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is considered a strong asset
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • Basic knowledge of swab collection and/or COVID-19 Testing procedure
  • Demonstrated strong decision making, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively resolve conflict in a productive and respectful manner
  • Experience and knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control (IP&C) protocols
  • Knowledge of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use and hand washing techniques
Shifts
  • All shifts are 4-8 hours in length
  • Most deployment locations operate 7-days per week, including holidays
