Job Description

  • Assist with all US and Canada domestic and international tax matters including data gathering, research and analysis of applicable tax laws, and ensuring company compliance with tax reporting/filing requirements
  • Prepare the US federal, state and local income/franchise tax workpapers and returns, including quarterly estimated tax payments, federal, state and local extensions
  • Prepare the Canadian federal and provincial income tax workpapers and returns, including monthly tax installments
  • Prepare US and Canadian indirect tax workpapers and returns, including HST/GST, state and local sales & use tax, property tax and exercise taxes
  • Assist with the preparation of income tax provisions for financial reporting purposes
  • Prepare general ledger tax account reconciliations
  • Research tax issues using tax library and on-line tax services
  • Communicate and advise operating companies on tax related matters
  • Assist with tax audits
