January 17, 2022Employee Type:Regular-Full timeUnion/Non:This is a non-union positionAre you interested in joining a collaborative team that plays an integral part in meeting our customer’s energy needs We have an exciting opportunity for an Advisor, Gas Supply to join our team!The Gas Supply team is responsible for the procurement of natural gas, storage and transportation for Enbridge Gas Inc.’s 3.4 million customers. This position provides an opportunity to develop natural gas commercial and market expertise as well as a view to the greater organizational strategy and support for Regulatory applications.Are you a dedicated individual who possesses strong interpersonal skills and a high attention to detail We want you to apply today !What You Will Do

  • Lead the day to day operational activities for Gas Supply by collaborating with key stakeholders within Energy services to ensure gas is delivered as expected from suppliers and manage gas commodity inventory.
  • Lead the creation and execution of the monthly plan for procurement of natural gas. This includes seeking internal approval as required for purchases, negotiating with suppliers, managing system input, and ensuring receipt of delivered supply.
  • Provide knowledge on North American natural gas industry issues and strategic direction, including identifying emerging sources of traditional and renewable natural gas.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with pipelines and gas supply providers.
  • Develop an understanding of the Quarterly Rate Adjustment Mechanism and Annual Gas Supply Plan Update regulatory proceedings, among others, to support witnesses and develop evidence and interrogatory responses as required.
Who You AreYou will have the following:
  • A related post secondary degree and a minimum of 4 years of directly related experience.
  • Ability to marshall resources as an informal leader as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Proficient Excel skills and ability to create and maintain Excel models with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to apply these to developing relationships with gas suppliers and other external parties.
  • Proven ability to problem solve and work under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrates integrity and builds professional relationships easily.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team.
Working ConditionsThis role is entirely office based and comprised of work that is based on both daily and monthly timelines.
