Responsibilities of the incumbent encompass Admissions, Registration, Student Records, Cashiering, Fee Assessments, Communication and related operations (such as convocation, transfer credits, grade appeals, second career, clinical clearances, etc.). The incumbent will know when to elevate issues or inquiries to the next level of service when required.The incumbent shall be the “Customer Service Expert” and therefore must be extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of College regulations, policies and procedures for all campuses in all academic activity and must be “Corporately aware” to adequately deal, support and redirect inquiries. They will act as the primary resource for customer and community inquiries. They are often the first point of contact for the College and is responsible for setting a positive and professional tone while interacting.Shifts may be subject to change during peak periods to ensure adequate and equitable staffing within the “Front Counter” of the Registrar’s Office.CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Information ResourceThe incumbent acts as a resource person and key point of contact. The incumbent provides feedback, recommendations, and problem-solving to students and administration regarding registration, records, fees, policies, procedures, etc as they directly, or indirectly relate to the Registrar’s Office.30%RegistrationContributes to the achievement of the Registrar’s Office goals and objectives. The incumbent will provide assistance in all College activity (Post-Secondary, Continuing Education, etc).30%AdmissionsThe incumbent is responsible for the processing & answering questions of new applications at the Front Counter. The incumbent will have knowledge of college program admission requirements and know where to locate such information.15%Student RecordsPreparing, maintaining, and processing of student records. Processing, accurately record keeping for student withdrawals.15%Cashiering5%General Duties5%MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS REQUIRED):EDUCATION:The ideal candidate must possess a two-year Ontario College Diploma, or equivalent.EXPERIENCE:The ideal candidate has a minimum of two years’ experience in the College system, including expertise with Peoplesoft, the student information system and academic delivery.
