Job Description

Peeters Mushroom Farm is a family-owned operation that has been serving communities with high qualify mushroom product for 40+ years. Peeters is excited to be seeking to add a member of our team in the position of:GrowerSUMMARY: Peeters Mushroom Farm requires a Grower that will perform Phase 1, (Spawn Run), Phase 2, (Pinning), Phase 3, (Cropping). This position manages employee growing departments and collaborates with Harvest Department Supervisors as well as the Sales Manager. Through the monitoring daily of the Harvest Rooms the Grower communicates on watering and disease control by recommending harvesting techniques in order to provide maximum yield of the crop.Peeters Mushroom Farm offers competitive salary packages, an incredible work environment, and career advancement opportunities.QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 years Growing experience preferred
  • Hold a valid pesticide license or willing to obtain
  • Able to lift and carry a weight of 10-20 lbs.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Supervisory Experience that demonstrates a fair and consistent approach with employees
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Valid Class G drivers license
  • Strong diplomatic, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills in order to handle complex situations.
  • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite.
