We have a new opportunity on our small but growing IT team and are looking to add an additional IT Manager to support and work in partnership to support all our locations across Ontario. If you have experience leading an IT department in a small-medium sized organization, front-line people leadership expertise and the ability to deliver on execution of security and IT infrastructure projects, this is the opportunity for you!Our IT Team plays a critical role in ensuring our IT systems are secure and fully operational. In this role, you’ll collaborate with another IT professional to oversee the organization’s IT infrastructure, leading IT projects and vendor management, planning department goals and directing employees toward achieving end results. This position involves collaboration and communication across the organization, including with operations and marketing.What you’ll do:Oversee and ensure that the organization’s IT infrastructure including all systems and equipment are operating effectively and efficiently.Lead the implementation of IT solutions ensuring the effective delivery and management of all IT networks, communications technology, security, redundancies, and related IT processes.Research and provide consultation regarding IT matters such as new products/technologies with senior leaders that meet business and system requirements.Oversee relationships with IT vendors and service providers to ensure service levels are maintained and contractual obligations are fulfilled.Monitor daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems.Perform CRM and other software platform administration, password, and certificate renewal administration.Perform website maintenance administration.Ensure all IT activities are performed within the parameters of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.Evaluate technology risks to develop a network disaster recovery plan and backup procedures.Lead the implementation of IT Projects ensuring all business requirements are met and projects are delivered on time and on budget.Coordinate training of IT systems including hardware, software, and security to ensure efficiency and competence of end usersServe as a point of contact for IT vendors and service providers.Remain up to date with advances in technology and industry best practices.Collaborate and be involved with performance management, hiring, onboarding/offboarding, developing and monitoring a growing team and establishing individual KPIs.Provide annual IT budget recommendation to senior leadership regarding current IT solutions and technologies, and implementation of future IT initiatives aligned to the strategic business plans and security of the organization.What you’ll need:5+ years IT experience for small to medium sized corporations.Previous experience leading people and teams is considered an asset; comfortable providing direction to support resources on the IT team, in cross-functional roles and project teams.Post-secondary education in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or in a related field is required.IT infrastructure, security, and services experience, preferably in an Insurance Brokerage environment (e.g. SigXp experience is a large asset).Thorough understanding of project management fundamentals with proven complex project delivery track record and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.Demonstrated understanding of organizational change management fundamentals as a part of IT project implementation.Highly organized and detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of writing proposals and documentation, training users in complex topics, communicating and negotiating with vendors, and presenting to and interacting positively with senior leadership.Ability to use sound judgment, conduct information gathering, gain a solid understanding of new situations and provide consistent response times.Must possess a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel within Ontario up to 10%.We appreciate all interest in this position.
