Posting End Date:April 24, 2022Employee Type:Regular-Full timeUnion/Non:This is a non-union positionWe have an exciting opportunity to join the Gas Control team as an Advisor, Network Planning!This role is responsible for the formal administration of all components of Gas Distribution and Storage (GDS) Work Permits relating to distribution systems. The role works to ensure all elements of the permit are filled out with the expected level of rigor and stakeholders are engaged appropriately prior to field work commencement. Permit elements of note include ensuring Network Impact Reports have been completed, emergency plans are identified and that conflicting projects are identified so that the Gas Control team can support mitigating operational conflicts accordingly and ultimately support project timing overall to maintain system operational safety and reliability.Are you an organized person with strong communication skills and a critical eye Apply today!What You Will Do

  • Active management of GDS distribution related work permits including being primary point of contact for permit applicants, engaging stakeholders for approvals and issuance of final permits.
  • Review permit accuracy, including confirmation of valve inspection approvals and support permit applicants as required.
  • Identify other planned work activity with potential to impact planned work / general system hydraulics and work with team to support resolution.
  • Compile and communicate permits and other planned work activity for stakeholder awareness, while also facilitating stakeholder communications in regards to concurrent projects.
  • Responsible for records management relating to work permits.
  • Actively represent team in stakeholder consultations and support delivering presentations to various groups as appropriate.
Who You AreYou will have the following:
  • Related university degree and 4+ years’ experience OR 6+ years of previous field operations experience. An equivalent mix of formal education and experience may be considered.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of regional operations, planning & design, asset records and/ or construction policies and procedures preferred.
  • Proficiency with e-GIS/ G-Designer and/or Maximo.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products including MS Excel, Project, SharePoint, PowerPoint.
