With over 4000 employees across 24 locations we believe the most impressive thing weve built is our workforce.Plasman - Tilbury Manufacturing located at 24 Industrial Park Rd is seeking a strong, team oriented candidate to join our Materials team:Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Planner/Scheduler is responsible for coordinating production activities throughout the plant in order to maintain customer requirements at Plasman as well as to develop, maintain, and revise as necessary a daily production schedule that will meet internal and external customer demand; confirm the availability of raw material, production components and packaging to meet the daily production schedule. Additionally, investigate, root cause, and report on material variances so as to protect customer delivery time and maintain accurate inventory levels.Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Liaison and customer contact for material related issues
  • Analyzing these releases in order to create an effective production schedule
  • Communication daily releases to Shipping Personnel to ensure orders are prepared for shipment.
  • Provides Shipping Coordinators with appropriate information in order to make timely and accurate shipments to the customer
  • Generate daily production schedule based on requirements received from Trans4M.
  • Responsible to ensure raw material availability for production and the supply of finished goods to both internal and external customers.
  • Responsible to ensure adequate packaging (returnable and expendable) is available in order to meet daily production schedules.
  • Process and analyze supplier releases within T4M System based on MRP demand and communicate these requirement to suppliers
  • Provide forecasts to suppliers to allow for appropriate material projections.
  • Verify accuracy of the output and provide root cause analysis to address release issues.
  • Responsible to participate in planned physical inventories
  • Access Customer Portals as required
  • Assist with receiving customer releases through EDI or fax as required
  • Promote an atmosphere of team work at all times
  • Ensure that a clean and safe work environment is always maintained
  • Complete any other duties as assigned
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR DESIGNATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must possess a secondary school diploma, with preference given to those who have completed some or all of a college level program
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have at least 3-5 years experience in materials, with preference given to those who have 3-5 years experience in inventory control, with a solid background (as a leader / supervisor) in production & manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced communication, interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, and time and priority
  • management skills are necessary for success in the role.
  • Materials experience to include working knowledge of Trans4M.
  • Computer skills to include experience in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel.
