Maintains safety standards always and initiates/follows emergency procedures when necessary. Potential to rotate through various roles within the area and shift.Responsibilities:How will you help us grow It matters to us, and it matters to you!

• Coordinate lab activities and work with supervisors to achieve targets
• Assist with daily scheduling and organizing of plant operations
• Develop and maintain good communication with plant personnel to impact product quality and plant productivity
• Actively participate in E2W initiative.
• Participate in team meetings and lead areas of assigned responsibility.
• Compliance with Work Instructions and Safety requirements
• Assist with creating and modifying Safety procedures
• Complete and maintain appropriate records, documents, or reports quality and inventory records
• Overtime hours including weekend and holidays work required during seasonal peaks
• Oversee the staff that is in the lab on shifts and support the workload
• Responsible for training the staff in the lab and updating any training requirements.
• Responsible for meeting required deadlines with sampling
• Maintain calibration records, quality, and government requirements
• Prepping and assisting the plant team with audits

QualificationsRequirements:What expertise have you grown What do you bring to the table

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of production agriculture
• Valid Class G driver’s license required
• Ability to adjust quickly to changing conditions and anticipate needs
• Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to run and participate in meetings
• Ability to provide training and supervise/coach others
• Strong level of PC skills desired
• Strong level of knowledge in SAP, Excel, Word, Access, Outlook
• Willingness to work in Chatham or Ridgetown depending on the season
• Position involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting to 50 lbs
• Must be willing and able to work shift hours (8, 10, or 12) including weekends and holidays
• An asset but not required would be to have a graders license, certified sampler training
