In this role, you will support the Gas Distribution and Storage (GDS) business unit.   • Development, implementation, and sustainment of occupational health and personal safety programs, including training.
  • Lead the integration of select legacy safety portfolios following project management and management of change (MOC) principles. Some of the programs this role may oversee include Hazardous Energy Control, Ergonomics, Confined Space, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Hazard Assessment, Working at Heights, Joint Health and Safety Committees, Hearing Conservation and Hazardous Materials.
  • Develop safety communications specific to programs and projects to foster a learning organization.
  • Implement safety initiatives at Enbridge (S&R, strategic, integration, compliance) using project management and organizational change principles.
  • Develop innovative solutions, engaging internal and external partners, developing solutions to challenges and applying solutions. Seeking endorsement from various levels of leadership will be required for some items.
Who you are:
  • Degree/Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
  • Canadian Registered Safety Professional designation/ Certified Safety Professional or other Professional Board Certification preferred.
  • Four or more years of professional work experience in the Health & Safety field of a technical or scientific nature.
  • Influence without authority and work collaboratively with site partners.
  • A self-starter able to lead multiple tasks and work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Project management experience would be an asset.
  • You will be required to undergo various background screening that includes but is not limited to 5 year driving record, criminal check and company sponsored drug testing.
Working Conditions:
  • Office based.
  • Travel 15-20% of time (typically within Ontario).
