Job Description

DescriptionThrough the time of their contract, the successful candidate will support the execution of the internal and external marketing communication strategies and tactics for the Corteva Agriscience™ Seed business (Pioneer® brand and Brevant® brand). Reporting to the Eastern Canada Seed MarketingCommunications Manager, they will also work within a team that is focused on integrating seed, crop protection and seed applied technology communications to the seed customers about the best Corteva solutions for their crops, supporting the overall sales effort.How will you help us grow It matters to us, and it matters to you!This role is a great opportunity to learn and develop implementation skills in Marketing Communications for Canada seed.Specifically:

  • Implementation – Under direction of the Marketing Communications Manager for seed in Eastern Canada, assist with implementation of the Marketing Communications plan including working with an in-house Graphic Designer and the Agency of Record to produce and deliver all elements of the Annual Communications Plan including, but not exclusive to sales communication materials, product information, advertising, social and digital advertising, and direct customer communications.
  • Branding - Ensure all communications align with brand standards, and privacy laws and that corporate trademarks are represented according to brand standards.
  • Alignment - on day-to-day activities and projects, ensure alignment to the set annual plan objectivesand brand standards. Prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Sales Support – under the direction of the Marketing Communications Manager, work with the stakeholders (Portfolio Marketing Manager, District Sales Agronomists District Leader and the Product Life Cycle Manager) to develop market-specific technical product and agronomic information to support sales efforts (catalogues, newsletters).
  • Digital – Assist in the execution of our digital strategy and implementation of social and digital initiatives for Eastern Canada.
  • Events – Assist with the development and execution of special events including webinars, virtual conferences, in-person meetings, tradeshows and farm shows.

Education and Experience:
  • Enrolled in or completed a Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Advertising, Public Relations, or Journalism or equivalent University Degree program.
Skills:
  • Adapt at implementation of multiple priorities on a timeline
  • Knowledge of communication implementation and how to utilize the aspects of digital and traditional communication mediums
  • Possess well developed oral/written communications skills in English
  • Oral/written communications skills in French would be an asset
  • Project management experience would be an asset
  • Agricultural background and knowledge of crop production systems would be an asset.

  • Location is Chatham Ontario or a virtual office in eastern Canada
  • This is a contract position for approximately 4 months. While it cannot be guaranteed, the successful candidate would be a potential candidate for any future postings, assuming successful contract performance and completion.
