Job Description

Part-Time Permanent with FULL-TIME CONTRACT to March 31, 2022Chatham-Kent Victim Services recognizes that all persons victimized by crime or tragic circumstances have the right to access immediate support within a coordinated response. Our focus includes a model supporting compassion, respect, dignity and privacy. We are looking for a motivated, skilled individual to support with fund development and volunteer recruitment, orientation and educational activities.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruit, orient and manage volunteers
  • Develop, plan and execute volunteer and staff recognition events
  • Maintain volunteer files, statistics, and related documentation
  • Support in the development of training and on-going development opportunities for volunteers
  • Manage communications - newsletters, social media
  • Diversify and grow funding base
  • Increase public exposure of CKVS through social media, communication and special event
  • Prepare and submit grant applications and/or proposals
  • Develop and coordinate the planning, promotion and management of fundraising activities
  • Other duties as required to meet the needs of CKVS
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post-secondary education in volunteer management / fund development and/or equivalent education and experience
  • 2+ years of experience
  • A valid Ontario (G) Driver’s License and use of a personal vehicle, current Police Records Check & Vulnerable Position Screening
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written;
  • Strong attention to detail; Strong organizational skills;
  • Demonstrated skills in effective use of social media
  • Sensitive to the dynamics of culture, gender and socio-economic status;
  • Proficiency in the use and operation of office equipment;
  • Strong computer skills and efficiency in all Microsoft programs.
