Job Description

Looking for part-time work with a values-driven non-profit organizationInterested in facilitating fun and creative activities and games and making a real difference in kids’ livesLooking to build valuable career experience toward a future in childhood educationIf you answered yes to any of these questions, we’re looking for you! YMCA Activity Leaders enjoy working in a fun, fast-paced environment facilitating activities and games for children ages 5 – 12.Who we’re looking for:

  • You exude passion about delivering the best experience for kids.
  • You’re flexible and open-minded.
  • You have energy to spare.
  • You’re a calm, cool and collected team member.
Your qualifications
  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • Experience working with children 5 – 12
  • Emergency First Aid and CRC – C & AED
  • 20 hours of training in Child Development, Child Guidance and/or Nutrition an asset
Your responsibilities:
  • Facilitate games and activities for children
  • Engage and build relationships with children & families
  • Ensure all children are safe and supervised at all times
  • Follow all YMCA policies and procedures

  • FG Leary YMCA Kids Club (9320 Walden St, Chilliwack)
  • Little Mountain YMCA Kids Club (9900 Carleton St, Chilliwack)
  • Northside YMCA Kids Club (45465 Bernard Ave, Chilliwack)
  • Stitó:s YMCA Kids Club (5337 Tyson Rd, Chilliwack)
  • Watson YMCA Kids Club (45305 Watson Road, Chilliwack)
Terms: Temporary, Part-time: 27.5 hours per weekShift: Monday to Friday 7am - 8:30am & 2pm - 6pm
  • This is a split shift - Must be available to work in the mornings & afternoons
