Job Description

Claims Support Assistants are responsible for providing general administrative and customer service support to the ICBC claims process. Working in a busy office environment, they work cooperatively to help facilitate an efficient claims process for ICBCs large and diverse customer base. Using professional communication skills and a high level of organization, Claims Support Assistants play an important role in promoting ICBCs mission of road safety. If you are a job seeker with a disability, please let us know as adjustments can be made to help support you in delivering your best performance.Location: Chilliwack, BCDuration : 6 month- contractStart Date: As soon as possibleSchedule: 7.83 hr Fortnight Day ShiftAnnual Wage: $23.41 (+ 19.2% in lieu of benefits/vacation)Responsibilities and Duties: · Review a high volume of documents for accuracy and completeness· Verify information with customers to clarify missing details· Respond to a wide variety of written and verbal customer inquiries· Provide daily reception relief· Assist with mail and document management· Maintain office supplies· Provide other administrative support to the department as required· Comply with privacy regulations and work in accordance with specified timelines· Provide other support as required.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: · High school diploma· 2 years of office administration experience, ideally in a corporate environment· Legal office experience an asset· Computer literate with strong typing skills· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills· Advanced understanding of business English with strong proofreading skills· Ability to operate standard office equipment (printers, scanners etc.)Additional Details: · Proof of COVID-19 vaccine are required to work in ICBC offices· Completion of a criminal record check required (at no expense)· Role may require candidates to sit for prolonged periods, and to bend/lift when performing mail/records management duties· Punctuality and full commitment to the duration of the assignment is essential.Better Choice Staffing is pre-screening candidates for this position.
