Job Description

Old Yale Brewing is an independently owned craft brewery located in British Columbia’s outdoor adventure playground, Chilliwack!Old Yale Brewing has a very unique opportunity for you to join the team as an Ice Cream Barista!The Ice Cream Barista will assist with a multitude of functions such as informing our customers of menu items, making recommendations based on preferences, and making a fantastic ice cream / personalized coffee. Overall, the Ice Cream Barista must always take pride in our brand, the product, the team, and our passion to always deliver a compelling experience.**No alcohol serving will be required for this role**Core job responsibilities:

  • Welcome customers to Old Yale Brewing!
  • Provide information about specials or new items, answer questions, and take orders and payments.
  • Prepare/make desired ice cream/coffee items as requested.
  • Keep up to date about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to improve the overall customer experience.
  • Perform standard cleaning of the ice cream and coffee machine and report any maintenance needs.
  • Ensure work area(s) remain safe, clean, and orderly; adhering to all Company and provincial guidelines are upheld regarding health, safety, and sanitation.

Job Qualifications:
  • Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service.
  • Previous work experience as a Barista or Waiter is an asset.
  • Availability to work around peak hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed.
  • Quickly adapts to fast-paced environments and can accurately execute assigned tasks.
  • Flexible, dependable, and dedicated.
