Forty Ninth Living is a licensed Property Management brokerage and we are looking for a bright, motivated, friendly, individual who is able to self-govern working from home (and/or their on-site office), is digitally savvy, can provide a flexible work schedule, has good intuition, can stand their ground as needed and is able to say “no†as required. Temporary position is to cover a 1-year maternity leave.Here is an idea of what your ROLE would entail:- Field rental inquiries & run through pre-screening questionnaires to fill vacancies over the phone- Give showings while profiling prospective tenants’ suitability in person- Conduct inspections (move-in inspections, 6-month maintenance inspections & move-out inspections)- Explain the terms & conditions of leases/addendums & answer any questions they may have- Organize & oversee repairs on properties, allowing access where required- Deliver notices, field complaints & deal with tenant issues as they arise in a timely matter- Keep a thorough, organised & detailed account of tenants- Provide a written report to your overseer once a week- Provide tenant/prospective tenants with a same-day response time- Be the tenant’s point of contact throughout the term of their tenancyHere is a list of the successful applicant’s QUALIFICATIONS:- Great communication (both written and verbal)- Assertive & able to deal effectively with conflict- Organized & detail oriented- Problem solver- Intuitive- Hard working- Friendly & welcoming- Can self-govern & self-motivate- Teachable & has a willingness to listen/learn- Own your own vehicle & has a valid driver’s license- Interest in attaining your Property Management license will be viewed as an assetEXPECTATIONS:- Business iPhone will be provided for the duration of employment (solely for work-use),- Business iPad will be provided for the duration of employment (solely for work-use)- You will provide your own home-based office, Microsoft Office software & computer- Ability to create a flexible work schedule- You will start with filling and overseeing a 10 unit rental townhouse complex, as well as oversee a fully occupied 52-unit apartment building- Will report to your overseer in-person a minimum of once a week- Will create a respectful and friendly atmosphere when working with tenants/prospective tenants regardless of religion/sex/age/ethnicity/orientation etc- Will keep a detailed, thorough and organised digital databaseYou will be paid based off of your submitted billable hours, with a 5-hour-weekly-minimum (regardless if you worked 5 hours or not)If you think this sounds like a good fit, please submit in your resume below!
