Our AdvanTec Manufacturing Canada facility is looking for an energetic Fabricator 1 to join our Doors Department in Chilliwack.The Fabricator 1 is responsible for reading and analyzing blueprints and engineered drawings to correspond with the required metal cuts. The Fabricator 1 will be required to use a variety of power tools to make the necessary cuts and to assemble the fabricated components into complete units. No experience necessary, we are willing to train the right person. Essential functions for this role are:
  • Operate light machinery, including grinders, sanders, cordless drills, and a variation of saws
  • Examine blueprints and drawings to assess what materials needed
  • Plan the sequence of tasks to fabricate products
  • Install fabricated components in the final product
  • Monitor quality of fabrication
  • Adhere to all safety standards and SOP’s
If you have the following experience, qualifications, and skills, we want to hear from you!
  • High school education
  • 0 – 2 years’ experience working with power tools
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure
  • Manual dexterity
  • Basic knowledge of fabrication an asset
  • Basic mechanical and math skills an asset
