This position is in Cargill #39;s agricultural supply chain business, where we seamlessly connect farming customers with food, feed and industry.Job Purpose and ImpactThe Fertilizer Production Supervisor will provide strategic oversight for all production and operating processes by being responsible for the operations agenda and leading an engaged team that will execute business deliverables. In this role, you will ensure safety, quality, cost, delivery, and morale objectives are met.Key Accountabilities

  • Directly operate or supervise the operation of the Fertilizer Facility, lead all location operations staff, including contract workers.
  • Monitor and maintain proper safety requirements to ensure the safety of the staff, contractors, and customers.
  • Monitor production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer requirements are within specifications.
  • Provide training to the staff on relevant environmental health and safety requirements to ensure that all staff are trained in accordance with regulations.
  • Accountable to managing physical fertilizer and book inventory.
  • Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring and performance management for your direct reports. You will also spend time completing the same tasks as employees on your team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
  • Diploma/certificate or bachelor #39;s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum two years of related work experience.
  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of supervisory experience.
  • Previous agriculture experience.
  • Previous professional experience working in a fertilizers #39; facility.
  • Previous knowledge in inventory control and management.
  • Experience in continuous improvement and lean principles.
