Willingness to travel between these offices on a regular basis is a requirement of the position. Placements may be at the same location for one week or longer or may change daily.As an Office Assistant, under the supervision of the on-site Office Manager and the Administrative Float Coordinator, you are the first line of contact to the public. In this role, you will provide general administrative, clerical, and program support to the work unit. Key responsibilities include reception, telephone switchboard, typing, filing, maintenance of files, processing documents and administrative financial forms, arranging meetings and reserving boardrooms, photocopying and inputting information into computer systems.An essential role to the daily operational activities, you must possess the ability to balance a large volume of work, dealing with tight timelines and shifting priorities, be able to multi task, prioritize various assignments, be a strong team player and have the ability to take individual initiative.The purpose of this position is to provide general administrative, clerical, and program support to the work unit.The BC Public Service is committed to creating a diverse workplace to represent the population we serve and to better meet the needs of our citizens.
