This is a great job(s) within a small and dedicated Team environment. There are only 7 of us working here so each person is accountable for their contribution to making, Canadas Best Shortbread cookies! Yes; we make 16 different flavours of savoury and sweet shortbread cookies here. This is a commercial Bakery with a homey feel!We are seeking passionate and well groomed individuals to work in our artisan Bakery here in Cobourg, ON. This is an environment of both mutual and self respect. We respect old fashioned values of a fabulous work ethic and the ability to be kind and decent to one another.Job duties include hand packaging finished product each day. Counting the cookies into cello bags, sealing the bags and boxing the product is a part of the position. Sweeping, mopping and general clean up is also a requirement each day. Working with a small and young Team, there is definitely lifting required for these jobs. Must be able to lift 50 lb block(s) of butter daily. This is not complex work but the speed here is high energy and requires a long day on your feet each day.These jobs are uncomplicated but require attention to detail. The ability to switch tasks here, (in a hurry), is most important. We work as a Team - a Team that helps each other out; especially new Team members who are learning. We require you to listen and learn. We welcome all questions about the job tasks. Open communication is important here each day.This is a fun environment with great music and the creation of a fabulous, niche gourmet food product - that is made with premium ingredients; in small batches.
