Job Description

Our mission is to build and operate person-directed communities by providing care and hospitality for seniors.The Opportunity:The Cold Lake community invites you to join our team as a contract Hairdresser for 1 day a week. You will have a bright personality and exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.Skills and key deliverables that will take you further:

  • Excellent rapport building to nurture, understand, and respect residents, families, and visitors, to ensure the vibrancy of our community
  • Knowledge of supportive living services, assessments and care planning
  • Strong communicator who conveys an excellent level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Proactive problem solver with the ability to deal effectively with crisis situations and de-escalations
  • Ongoing monitoring and continuous quality improvement and adherence to safe work practices
  • Schedule appointments and maintain appointments
  • Maintain hair station cleanliness/ hygienic procedures and ensure all safety standards are met
  • Shampooing, cut, blow-dry and style Residents hair
Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from:
  • Grade 12 Diploma or recognized equivalent (required)
  • Certificate from a recognized school of Hair Dressing / Apprentice (Preferred)
  • Previous hairdressing/barber experience
  • Valid Certification in First Aid and CPR
