New housing, excellent educational facilities, a multipurpose recreational facility and a college are just a few of the highlights that truly make Cold Lake a community of choice.Job Purpose & Responsibilities:The City of Cold Lake is seeking a qualified individual to fill the full-time, eleven-month term position of Desktop Analyst with the Corporate Services Department.Reporting to the IST Manager, the Desktop Analyst coordinates with IST peers and oversees the installation, upgrade or repair of hardware and software, and participates in the development, implementation and installation of new or revised systems or system components. This position is responsible for prioritizing and executing technical support for Help Desk calls initiated from City Departments and assisting users with training and applications. The Desktop Analyst is also responsible for the installation, packaging, and testing of computer systems and peripherals, within established standards and guidelines. The position will work with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.Qualification/Competencies:
