Job Description

iRecover Okanagan has an exciting opportunity for you!We are currently recruiting a Daycare Manager to join our team.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The applicant will oversee the child care facility, including day to day supervision and care of children and child care workers.
  • Inform child care workers of policies and procedures in relation to good practice and encourage and promote adherence to all licensing regulations.
  • Liaise with parents on a regular basis regarding the ongoing progress and development of their children.
  • Must have experience in developing and updating policies and procedures in regards to children, families, safety and human resources
Work Experience:
  • 2 years experience in a supervisory or management position in a licensed child care facility.
  • Experience with Interior Health Community Care and Assisted Living Act and the Child Care Licensing Regulation.
Education and Certification Requirements:
  • Valid BC ECE license to practice; not suitable for an ECE Asst.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector.
  • Valid Child Care First Aid
  • Clean 3 year Drivers Abstract and Insurance Claims History.
Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSchedule:
  • 8 hour shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
  • COLDSTREAM, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
  • Secondary School (required)
Experience:
  • daycare manager: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
  • ECE or ECE IT (required)
